Introduction

While interning at the Media Arts Center San Diego, I had the opportunity to develop materials and assets for the 25th Annual iVIE Awards & Student Film Festival. Below, you’ll find my design work for this event.

Supervised by Ethan Van Thillo

Challenge Create a cohesive brand design for a student filmmaker awards show that blends cinematic themes with a fun, age-appropriate visual identity tailored to a children-focused event.

Approach Utilized warm, energetic colors and cinematic elements, such as film reels and film strips, to develop a design that effectively reflects the film-themed, children-focused event.

Catalog

I was instructed to use the original flyer as the cover of the catalog and the horizontal advertisements as the back cover. For the interior layout, I incorporated the design elements I created for the flyer to maintain a consistent visual theme throughout the catalog while preserving its youthful concept.

Note: Catalog is a concept created during my internship. Content contains production placeholders as my term ended before final nominee and jury selections. This core grid system was utilized for the official event catalog.
