During my internship at the Media Arts Center San Diego, I had the chance to develop flyers for festivals, and events hosted by Media Arts Center. The work displayed below are all the flyers I developed throughout my internship.

Call For Entries: San Diego Latino Film Festival
Challenge Develop a flyer based on postcard design, keeping design consistent and ensuring information is prominent.
Approach Created a column layout with center section showcasing large, important information to create focal point, and used images on top and bottom columns to stay true to postcard’s layout.

After the flyers were finalized, I designed additional elements as well. These include web banners, and a Wordmark for the SDLFF main webpage.
San Diego Latino Film Festival Poster Competition
Challenge Create a flyer that works effectively to present key information from competition deadline and submission link and incorporates past nominee posters.
Initial Posters
Approach Utilized poster images to develop a unique grid shape where typography forms around poster gallery, ensuring type is large and clearly visible on flyer.
Additional
Similar to the Call for Entries flyer, I also developed additional elements I based on the flyer, such as a web banner, for the FilmFreeway site, and a horizontal version of the flyer for SDLFF’s Call For Posters page.
Cine En El Parque: Save the Date
Challenge Design a flyer based on postcard design, keeping design consistent with previous years designs while developing new concept for the flyer design.
Approach Developed a layout with a gallery with images from previous events, showcasing key highlights of the event for potential attendees.
